Consultant Respiratory Physician – Interstitial Lung Disease

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant Respiratory Physician with a specialist interest in Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) to join one of the UK’s largest and most research‑active ILD services. The role is based in a nationally commissioned tertiary referral centre delivering specialist care for pulmonary fibrosis, connective‑tissue disease‑associated ILD, sarcoidosis, genetic ILD and drug‑induced ILD.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, patient‑centred care in ILD outpatient clinics and inpatient settings.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and manage referrals from across London and the UK.
• Contribute to service development, education and training of junior staff and allied health professionals.
• Engage in clinical trials, translational research and service innovation, including precision medicine and digital healthcare initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Respiratory Physician with a specialist interest in ILD.
• Experience in managing complex diffuse parenchymal lung diseases.
• Commitment to academic development and research collaboration.
