Content Writer – Humanitarian Charity

About the role

Our client, a globally recognised humanitarian charity, is seeking a creative Content Writer to transform programme updates, case studies and emergency response stories into compelling content that inspires supporters and drives fundraising.

Key responsibilities

• Write blogs, website pages, newsletters, fundraising appeals and impact reports.
• Turn programme updates, case studies and interviews into engaging stories.
• Create campaign messaging, headlines and calls‑to‑action.
• Produce scripts, captions and written material for social media and video.
• Edit and proofread all content to ensure accuracy, consistency and quality.
• Support integrated marketing and fundraising campaigns.
• Assist communications during humanitarian emergencies and disaster responses.
• Use audience insights and performance data to improve engagement.

Required profile

• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading abilities.
• Experience producing both long‑form and short‑form content.
• Proven skill in turning complex information into clear, engaging narratives.
• Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proactive, collaborative approach and strong organisational skills.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Genuine interest in humanitarian and charitable work.
