Contentious Probate & Commercial Litigation Solicitor

About the role

Join a respected regional law firm as a Contentious Probate and Commercial Litigation Solicitor within its Dispute Resolution team. You will manage a varied and complex caseload, working alongside experienced partners to deliver high‑quality legal advice.

Key responsibilities

• Handle contentious probate and trust disputes, including validity challenges and executor/trustee issues.
• Manage Court of Protection matters and Trust of Land (TOLATA) claims.
• Lead commercial contract disputes, shareholder and partnership disagreements, and professional negligence claims.
• Conduct real‑estate, insolvency, and intellectual property litigation.
• Advise clients from initial instruction through negotiation, mediation and court proceedings.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with 4–8 years PQE in commercial litigation, contentious probate or a mixed disputes practice.
• Proven ability to manage an independent caseload with minimal supervision.
• Strong client‑relationship and communication skills.
• Commercially minded with an interest in business development.
• Organised with excellent billing, time‑management and file‑management abilities.

Required skills
