Contentious Probate Solicitor (NQ‑3 PQE)

About the role

G2 Legal Limited is seeking a Contentious Probate Solicitor (NQ‑3 PQE) to join its specialist litigation team in Gerrards Cross. You will work on a variety of inheritance and trust disputes, providing advice from the initial client briefing through to resolution, whether by negotiation, mediation or court proceedings.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on inheritance act claims, will validity disputes and executor/trustee conflicts.
• Handle trust litigation, estate administration disputes and proprietary estoppel claims.
• Draft pleadings, correspondence and settlement strategies, and prepare matters for trial.
• Liaise directly with clients, experts, counsel and attend mediations and court hearings.
• Collaborate with Private Client, Property and Litigation teams on cross‑disciplinary matters.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with NQ to 3 years PQE experience in contentious probate or related litigation.
• Strong understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and probate law.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and drafting abilities.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage own workload while seeking guidance when needed.
• Commercially pragmatic approach and genuine interest in developing a long‑term career in contentious trusts and probate.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules.
