Contentious Probate Solicitor (NQ‑3 to 3 PQE)

About the role

Join a specialist Contentious Probate team within a well‑established dispute resolution practice. You will handle complex wills, trusts and estate disputes, providing commercially‑focused advice to a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on Inheritance Act claims, will challenges, executor and personal representative disputes, and trust disputes.
• Prepare correspondence, court documents and instruct counsel where appropriate.
• Progress matters through negotiation, mediation, settlement or trial.
• Manage a varied caseload with appropriate supervision, ensuring cost‑effective strategies.

Required profile

• Solicitor with NQ‑3 years PQE experience in contentious probate or civil litigation (a training seat in contentious probate is also acceptable).
• Strong drafting and client‑care abilities.
• Sound understanding of civil litigation procedures.
• Commercially minded with an interest in business development.

Required skills

• Drafting of legal documents and court pleadings.
• Case management and negotiation.
• Knowledge of probate and trust law.
