Contentious Probate Solicitor – Private Wealth Disputes

About the role

A respected Legal 500 firm in Southwest London is looking for a Contentious Probate Solicitor to join its expanding private wealth disputes team. This newly created, full‑time position offers a busy and varied caseload and the chance to help shape the team’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of contentious probate matters, including disputed wills, Inheritance Act claims, trust disputes, equitable claims and Court of Protection matters.
• Work independently on cases while collaborating with senior colleagues to ensure high‑quality client service.
• Support junior team members and contribute to business‑development initiatives.
• Maintain and develop client relationships within the private wealth sector.

Required profile

• 5+ years post‑qualification experience in contentious wills, trusts and estates.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload autonomously.
• ACTAPS qualification or a genuine interest in obtaining it.
• Commercial awareness and a desire to contribute to team growth.
