Continuous Improvement Manager – Garages

About the role

The Continuous Improvement Manager will lead enhancements across processes, equipment and infrastructure within Halfords' garage network. Working field‑based across the UK, you will partner with garage teams, legal, procurement and category buying to remove operational pain points, deliver labour savings and increase capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the Lean framework to drive change and deliver multi‑million‑pound efficiency projects on time and within budget.
• Maintain a pipeline of improvement opportunities that boost efficiency and reduce costs.
• Align new acquisitions with operational processes to support strategic priorities.
• Develop robust business cases for strategic change following governance procedures.
• Manage project schedules, site visits and occasional overnight stays, using a company car for travel.

Required profile

• Proven experience in continuous improvement or process optimisation within a large, field‑based operation.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, able to collaborate across diverse functions.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on measurable outcomes.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the South East and the wider UK.
