Contract Asbestos Surveyor – Bedfordshire (6 months)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced freelance asbestos surveyor for a six‑month contract covering a portfolio of properties in Bedfordshire. The role offers a competitive daily rate and guarantees standard Monday‑to‑Friday office hours with no travel to London.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Management and Refurbishment/Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys across the assigned portfolio.
• Take accurate bulk samples of suspected Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs).
• Plan and manage your own weekly workload to meet project deadlines.
• Submit survey reports and sample documentation in a timely manner.

Required profile

• Hold a BOHS P402 or RSPH equivalent asbestos survey qualification.
• Demonstrated post‑qualification experience as an asbestos surveyor.
• Ability to work independently, organise schedules and meet deadlines.
• Own reliable transport, survey toolkit and required PPE, including a half‑mask with a current fit‑test certificate.

Required skills

• BOHS P402 asbestos survey certification (or RSPH equivalent).
• Experience in Management and Refurbishment/Demolition asbestos surveys.
• Proficiency in bulk sampling of ACMs.
• Use of PPE, specifically half‑mask with fit‑test documentation.

What we offer

• Daily rate of £250‑£260 (outside IR35).
• Fixed‑term six‑month contract.
