Contract Manager – Facilities Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Contract Manager to take full operational and commercial responsibility for a high‑profile heritage estate in South East London. Reporting to the Head of Facilities Operations and Workplace Experience, you will lead a large multidisciplinary team delivering hard FM and integrated services across a landmark campus.

Key responsibilities

• Lead seamless delivery of hard FM and integrated services, ensuring maximum building uptime and system efficiency.
• Maintain 100% statutory compliance and strict adherence to health & safety protocols and contractual SLAs.
• Drive performance against contractual KPIs, identifying and mitigating technical and commercial risks.
• Manage, mentor and inspire a large operational workforce, fostering a cohesive "one‑team" culture.
• Act as the primary technical and commercial liaison for estate partners and client stakeholders.
• Oversee the local operational budget, driving cost efficiencies and protecting margins.
• Identify and implement modern technical innovations, energy‑management strategies and continuous service improvements.

Required profile

• Proven operational leader with extensive facilities management experience, preferably within heritage or institutional estates.
• Strong technical oversight combined with strategic financial management capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large, multidisciplinary teams and foster a collaborative culture.
• Excellent client‑facing skills with a track record of building trusted relationships.
