Contract Manager – Railway Signalling (UK)

About the role

CAF is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join the Operations Direction of CAF Signalling in the United Kingdom. The role will support the delivery and management of complex railway signalling projects, ensuring contractual compliance from tender through execution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage contracts throughout the tender and commercial phases, supporting negotiations with partners, suppliers and clients.
• Coordinate and protect project interests in collaboration with the Legal Department.
• Negotiate and monitor main project contracts, sub‑contracts and procurement agreements.
• Identify and manage contractual opportunities and support claim substantiation.
• Review and analyse the “Accepted Programme” under NEC4, handling Compensation Events and contractual deviations.

Required profile

• Chartered Engineer or Master’s degree in Engineering (Telecommunications, Industrial, Civil, etc.).
• Preferably a UK national with native‑level English and strong knowledge of the UK market.
• Proven experience in NEC4 contract management, preferably on railway projects with Network Rail.
• Experience with other contract forms such as PSC, DBM, FIDIC or JCT is a plus.
• Master’s degree in Project Management or equivalent and NEC4 certification are advantageous.
