Contracts Director – Electrical Focus (M&E)

About the role

This senior position leads the contracting side of an established Mechanical & Electrical contractor operating across the South West. You will shape business growth, oversee delivery of projects in commercial, industrial and healthcare sectors, and represent the company to clients and prospects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s growth strategy for the contracting division.
• Lead contracts managers, site staff, commercial team and admin resources.
• Recruit, mentor and develop existing and new team members.
• Produce competitive tenders and manage projects through to successful delivery.
• Maintain client relationships, ensure health & safety compliance and control costs.
• Forecast revenue, manage budgets and report progress to the board.

Required profile

• Strong background in electrical contracting with proven management experience.
• Minimum HND/HNC in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
• Excellent attention to detail and high regard for health & safety and workmanship quality.
• Confident client‑facing communicator with established contacts in the region.
• Ambitious, driven and capable of leading a growing team.
