Contracts Officer – Temporary (Edinburgh)

About the role

This is a temporary Contracts Officer position based in Edinburgh, working on a hybrid schedule. You will support procurement compliance, process purchasing requests and provide commercial guidance for a public sector client.

Key responsibilities

• Support procurement compliance and ensure adherence to commercial procedures.
• Process purchasing requests and manage related enquiries.
• Provide guidance on commercial and contractual matters.
• Work across multiple systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, PECOS) to maintain accurate records.
• Assist in day‑to‑day operational tasks to keep the procurement function running smoothly.

Required profile

• Organised and proactive with strong administrative abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to manage workloads independently.
• Experience in procurement, finance, purchasing or commercial operations is desirable.
• Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, PECOS or similar systems is an advantage.
