Conveyancing Fee Earner

About the role

Our client is looking for a Conveyancing Fee Earner to join their Bury office. Reporting to the Head of Department and Directors, the role is full‑time and on‑site. You will manage a varied caseload of residential and commercial property transactions, providing expert legal advice and delivering outstanding client service.

Key responsibilities

• Taking new enquiries, assessing prospective matters, preparing quotations and following through to instruction.
• Preparing and reviewing legal documentation, including title reviews.
• Managing multiple files and deadlines to ensure smooth progression to completion and handover to post‑completion teams.
• Maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and encouraging feedback and reviews.
• Supporting internal and external audits.
• Liaising with clients, solicitors, lenders, estate agents and other stakeholders throughout the conveyancing process.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Conveyancer in a UK SRA‑regulated, CQS‑accredited law firm.
• Strong knowledge of residential and commercial property law, including sales, purchases, leases, transfers of equity and remortgages.
• Good understanding of SRA Accounts Rules and experience dealing with fees and billing matters.
• Up‑to‑date with CQS training requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail, high accuracy and strong organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, under pressure and to competing priorities.
