About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Cook to join our team at Trinity House Care Home in Edinburgh. In this role you will prepare nutritious, high‑quality meals for residents, supporting their wellbeing and daily routine in a supportive, boutique‑style environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present meals that meet individual dietary requirements and preferences.
• Maintain strict hygiene and food‑safety standards throughout all kitchen activities.
• Assist with menu planning, using fresh ingredients to create balanced, varied meals.
• Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently, supporting a smooth service for residents and staff.
• Keep the kitchen clean and organized, adhering to health‑inspection regulations.

Required profile

• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Previous experience in a kitchen or food‑preparation role.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, positive attitude with good communication skills.

What we offer

• £14.06 per hour, contracted 40 hours per week.
