About the role
Impact Food Group is seeking a Cook Manager to lead the kitchen team at Rushall Primary School and Oakwood School. This hands‑on managerial position ensures that fresh, seasonal meals are prepared and served to students each day, supporting their wellbeing and enjoyment.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the day‑to‑day operation of the school kitchen.
- Lead, motivate and develop a catering team to maintain high standards.
- Plan menus, manage stock levels and ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations.
- Prepare and serve fresh, seasonal meals for pupils.
- Liaise directly with school staff and other stakeholders.
- Maintain smooth, efficient service throughout the school day.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing a kitchen, preferably in schools or high‑volume catering.
- Strong leadership and people‑management abilities.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Proactive, hands‑on attitude with pride in delivering quality food.
Required skills
- Food hygiene and safety regulations knowledge.

- Daytime hours (7:30 am‑3:00 pm), Monday‑Friday, no evenings or weekends.
