Cook - Part Time

About the role

This permanent part‑time position is based at Clarence House in Horncastle, supporting 21 residents with learning disabilities and mental health needs. You will work 15 hours per week preparing meals that meet individual dietary requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare meals, snacks and beverages in line with residents' dietary needs.
• Conduct quality checks on prepared food and storage conditions.
• Plan menus reflecting residents' preferences and nutritional requirements.
• Assist residents during meal service to ensure a dignified dining experience.
• Maintain accurate stock records and order supplies following food‑safety regulations.
• Keep the kitchen clean and support deep‑cleaning tasks.

Required profile

• Patient, understanding and respectful attitude towards residents.
• Experience as a cook; a Food Hygiene or Catering qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
• Willingness to undertake training provided by Prime Life.
