Cook – Production Kitchen (Full-time)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Cook to join our client’s production kitchen in Hastings. The role is full‑time, Monday‑Friday, with an initial training shift followed by a permanent 3 pm‑11:30 pm pattern. Successful candidates will help produce a range of food products while maintaining high standards of hygiene and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and specified cooking times.
• Carry out hot and cold fill packaging, chilling, and stock rotation.
• Clean and sanitize machinery and work areas in line with company policies.
• Record production and cleaning activities accurately.
• Report shortages, maintenance needs, or any food‑safety issues to supervisors.
• Support other production areas as required and follow health‑and‑safety legislation.

Required profile

• Good general education with the ability to read and write.
• Experience of cooking or working in a similar food‑production environment is desirable.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Knowledge of hygiene practices and willingness to perform heavy lifting.
