Core UI / Web Platform Engineer

About the role

Join a leading high‑frequency trading fund as a Core UI / Web Platform Engineer. You will be responsible for building and extending the firm’s core UI platform, enabling multiple teams to deliver business‑critical applications quickly and reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain a reusable UI platform used across the organisation.
• Collaborate with product, trading and engineering teams to translate requirements into performant web interfaces.
• Implement real‑time data handling using WebSocket protocols and REST APIs.
• Write comprehensive UI unit tests and ensure high code quality.
• Support teams in adopting the platform, providing guidance and tooling.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience building web‑based user interfaces.
• Strong empathy for internal developers and a focus on improving their productivity.
• Comfortable working in an agile environment with sprints, pair‑programming and continuous testing.
