Corporate Banking Relationship Manager – London

About the role

People First is seeking a Relationship Manager to support the Corporate Banking division in London. You will work closely with the Head of Corporate Banking to drive revenue, expand the client base and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Grow trade revenues, assets and returns from existing corporate clients to meet individual and team targets.
• Develop relationships with head office, domestic branches and portfolio clients to increase deal size and cross‑sell products such as loans, deposits, trade finance, cash management, FX, bond issuance and RMB business.
• Identify and acquire new corporate clients to expand the London branch’s asset portfolio.
• Conduct pre‑loan investigations, credit assessments, post‑loan monitoring and trade‑finance reviews.
• Perform corporate KYC and AML checks and manage related documentation and legal negotiations.
• Maintain accurate client and credit files and support internal credit application processes.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to a professional, collaborative culture.

Required profile

• Minimum degree level or higher.
• Solid experience in the UK banking sector with a focus on corporate clients (non‑SME).
• Proven ability to develop business and execute transactions independently.
• Strong analytical and credit assessment capabilities.
