About the role

Amazon is looking for an experienced lawyer to join its EU legal team and support the European Stores business. The role focuses on product and environmental compliance, emerging technology regulations, and regulatory horizon scanning across the EU.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and evolve an EU‑wide regulatory horizon‑scanning program, defining strategy, governance and coordination across jurisdictions.
• Advise on compliance with the New Legislative Framework, Market Surveillance Regulation, General Product Safety Regulation, Digital Services Act and related product safety laws.
• Design and implement compliance strategies for emerging regulations such as the EU Data Act, AI Act and Cyber Resilience Act.
• Collaborate with public policy, legal and business teams to manage the full lifecycle of policy initiatives, from consultation to implementation.
• Engage with EU regulators and authorities to support advocacy campaigns and represent Amazon as the EU legal representative.
• Drive innovation at the intersection of law and technology by leveraging AI, automation and data‑analytics tools.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with extensive experience in EU product safety and technology regulation.
• Proven ability to interpret and apply complex, evolving regulatory frameworks.
• Strong analytical and thought‑leadership skills, with a track record of influencing public policy.
• Excellent stakeholder management across legal, policy and business functions.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of the New Legislative Framework, Market Surveillance Regulation, General Product Safety Regulation, Digital Services Act, EU Data Act, AI Act and Cyber Resilience Act.
• Experience using AI‑driven solutions, automation and data‑analytics tools for legal monitoring.
• Legal research and drafting expertise.
