About the role
SmartestEnergy Ltd is seeking a Corporate Development Manager on a two‑year fixed‑term contract to drive its expansion strategy across Europe and North America. You will lead high‑impact M&A transactions that support the company’s Global Trading Hub Strategy and help shape its international footprint.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end M&A execution, including due diligence, valuation modelling and business case development.
- Coordinate post‑merger integration activities and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models, including three‑way modelling and Purchase Price Allocation.
- Navigate governance and approval frameworks for cross‑border transactions.
- Collaborate with subject‑matter experts and external advisors in fast‑paced energy and commodity trading environments.
Required profile
- Proven experience as an M&A Manager or equivalent in a transaction‑focused role.
- Advanced financial and technical capability, with strong understanding of tax, regulatory and pricing considerations.
- Experience delivering multiple complex, cross‑border deals.
- Relevant qualifications such as ACA, CA or CFA are preferred.
