Corporate Restructuring Assistant Director

About the role

Sharp Consultancy is seeking an experienced Assistant Director to join a leading advisory practice. You will work on high‑profile corporate restructuring projects, supporting lenders, funders and private equity investors in assessing and improving the performance of portfolio companies.

Key responsibilities

• Review the financial performance and viability of portfolio customers for major lenders, funders and private equity investors.
• Conduct Independent Business Reviews (IBRs) and propose actionable solutions.
• Advise companies on performance improvement, financial management and business turnaround.
• Handle formal insolvency assignments, including trading administrations, when required.
• Prepare high‑quality reports and presentations for senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CA – ICAEW, ICAS or ACCA).
• Current experience in corporate recovery/restructuring, covering advisory services and formal appointments.
• Exceptional communication, business acumen and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• First‑class report writing skills.
• Eligibility to work in the UK full‑time without restriction.
