Corporate Solicitor – M&A & Restructuring

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Corporate Solicitor to join our well‑established corporate team in Reading. You will work on a variety of high‑value transactions, advising both SMEs and larger corporates on mergers, acquisitions, restructurings and general corporate matters.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on mergers, acquisitions, disposals and corporate restructuring projects.
• Support high‑value M&A transactions and strategic corporate matters.
• Manage a portfolio of owner‑managed businesses and corporate clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing commercial advice.
• Assist with business development and strengthen professional referral networks.
• Mentor junior team members where appropriate.

Required profile

• 3–7 years post‑qualification experience in corporate law.
• Strong experience advising on M&A transactions and general corporate matters.
• Ability to manage your own caseload with supervision on complex matters.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
• Commercial, solutions‑focused approach and interest in client development.
