Corporate Tax and Treasury Team Leader

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Tax & Treasury Manager to lead corporation tax compliance and oversee treasury activities for a complex organisation based in Glasgow. The role combines technical tax expertise, leadership of a small team and strong stakeholder engagement across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead corporation tax compliance, including returns, Country‑by‑Country Reporting and BEPS requirements.
• Coordinate the Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) process and maintain robust internal controls.
• Manage HMRC enquiries, audits and nurture regulatory relationships.
• Provide clear tax guidance as a subject‑matter expert across the business.
• Identify, assess and mitigate tax risks.
• Support statutory and regulatory reporting, including year‑end processes.
• Oversee treasury activities such as cash‑flow monitoring and liquidity management.
• Drive process improvements and contribute to finance system initiatives.
• Lead, coach and develop a small team to deliver high‑quality service.

Required profile

• Strong corporation tax experience in a large or complex environment.
• Professional qualification (e.g., CIOT, ATT, ACCA) or equivalent experience.
• Confident communicator able to simplify complex tax matters.
• Experience leading or mentoring others.
• Strong analytical, organisational and Excel skills.
• Experience with financial or tax systems.
