Corporate Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join the tax team of a leading UK retailer in London. The role will be based in the central office three days a week and will involve overseeing both UK and international tax compliance and advisory activities.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of UK and overseas corporate tax returns, coordinating preparation, review and submission with internal and external resources.
• Lead statutory tax accounting under international reporting standards, including provision calculations, deferred tax, disclosures and reconciliations.
• Produce tax analyses, financial forecasts, technical memoranda and executive‑level reports for senior leadership and governance forums.
• Develop and maintain transfer‑pricing documentation and advise on inter‑company arrangements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Assess tax implications of organisational changes, cross‑border activities and potential permanent establishment risks.
• Collaborate with finance, operations and specialist teams to translate tax requirements into commercial recommendations.
• Monitor emerging tax exposures, manage interactions with tax authorities and auditors, and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CTA qualification (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in UK corporate tax compliance and reporting.
• Ability to work on‑site in Central London three days per week.
• No visa sponsorship available.
