Corporate Tax Manager

About the role

Our client, a top‑10 UK accountancy and advisory firm, is seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Manager for their Reading office. The role involves managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients, delivering compliance and advisory services, and supporting business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of corporate tax clients across various industries, ensuring high‑quality compliance and advisory work.
• Review corporation tax returns, calculations and related tax disclosures before submission.
• Take final responsibility for reviewing and approving technically complex tax assignments.
• Provide clear, practical guidance to clients on corporate tax matters and advise on tax‑efficient structures, group reorganisations and transactions.
• Support clients during HMRC enquiries, correspondence and dispute resolution.
• Collaborate with audit, accounts and advisory teams to deliver integrated services and identify opportunities.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for day‑to‑day tax issues.
• Contribute to business development by identifying additional service opportunities and supporting new client acquisition.
• Drive continuous improvement within the tax team by enhancing processes and service delivery.
• Manage, mentor and develop junior team members, providing technical guidance and supporting their professional growth.
• Assist senior leadership with team management, workflow planning and resource allocation.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent professional qualification.

Required skills

What we offer

• Salary between £60,000 and £75,000 per year.
• Hybrid working model – 3 days in the Reading office and 2 days remote.
