Corporate Tax Manager – London

About the role

We are partnering with a respected mid‑tier professional services firm to recruit a Corporate Tax Manager for its expanding London team. This position offers a blend of compliance oversight, client management and advisory work within a fast‑moving, technically demanding environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of corporate clients across diverse sectors, ensuring high‑quality, timely delivery of tax returns, provisions and final computations.
• Review and prepare corporation tax returns, tax accounting schedules and related calculations.
• Escalate complex tax matters to senior specialists when required.
• Support advisory projects such as restructurings, international expansions, share schemes, tax efficiency initiatives and due‑diligence work.
• Supervise and develop junior team members, contribute to internal training and help grow the tax department.

Required profile

• Strong corporation tax experience gained within a practice environment.
• Solid technical grounding across SME and larger corporate tax matters.
• Proven ability to manage a client portfolio profitably.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical issues to non‑specialists.
• Relevant qualification (ACA, CA, CTA or equivalent).

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Familiarity with Alphatax (advantageous).
• Experience with CCH software (useful).
