Corporate Tax Senior

About the role

McGinnis Loy Associates is recruiting a Corporate Tax Senior for a top accounting firm in North London. The role involves delivering proactive tax compliance and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage your own portfolio of corporate clients and oversee the full tax compliance cycle.
• Review work performed by junior staff, provide coaching and ensure quality.
• Prepare, review and submit corporation tax computations and company tax returns.
• Assist the audit department with tax provision calculations for accounts.
• Prepare tax computations and returns for sole traders, partnerships, directors and partners.
• Draft correspondence, liaise with HMRC and handle client communications.
• Conduct capital allowance and research & development tax reviews.
• Prepare capital gains tax computations and claims for EIS and VCT reliefs.
• Prepare/review P11Ds, ERS, non‑resident landlord and ATED returns.
• Advise clients on tax planning opportunities, including EIS and corporate restructurings.

Required profile

• Experienced corporate tax specialist with a proven track record managing SME and corporate client portfolios.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with clients and internal teams.
• Ability to meet strict corporate tax deadlines.
• ACA or ACCA qualification (CTA or ATT desirable but not essential).
