Corporate Tax Senior Manager – Bristol

About the role

We are seeking a Corporate Tax Senior Manager to join a leading accountancy and advisory practice in Bristol. In this senior position you will act as a trusted adviser, leading complex tax projects and supporting the growth of the firm’s corporate tax offering.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex corporate tax advisory engagements, including restructures, acquisitions, disposals and group reorganisations.
• Provide strategic tax planning, R&D tax relief, capital allowances and international tax advice to a portfolio of mid‑market and owner‑managed clients.
• Review and sign off corporation tax returns and tax computations, ensuring high technical standards and compliance.
• Monitor legislative developments and advise clients on tax risk and regulatory implications.
• Develop and mentor Tax Managers, Assistant Managers and Tax Seniors, fostering a high‑performing team.
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities within existing relationships and with new prospects.
• Manage client profitability, work‑in‑progress, billing and recoverability targets.

Required profile

• CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified with significant corporate tax experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong commercial awareness and proven ability to manage senior client relationships.
• Experience leading advisory projects and developing junior tax professionals.
• Exposure to international tax, transfer pricing or M&A transactions is desirable.
