Cost Accountant – Manufacturing Cost Management

About the role

We are recruiting a Cost Accountant for a well‑established manufacturing company in Fleetwood. The role offers a competitive salary, generous benefits and the chance to develop within a supportive team.

Key responsibilities

• Establish standard costs for services and products.
• Analyse material and labour usage and recommend cost‑saving strategies.
• Assess rates of labour, depreciation and overheads.
• Own inventory costing and associated margin reporting.
• Prepare forecasts, budgets and product costing for cost centres.
• Prepare accruals and pre‑payments.
• Maintain records and support the annual audit process.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified or currently studying CIMA or ACCA.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
