Cost Controller – Offshore Wind Project

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cost Controller to join the developer side of one of the UK’s largest offshore wind projects. The role is based in Swindon with regular travel to London and offers a 16‑month fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Support project cost forecasting, budgeting and cash‑flow management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor actual costs, analyse variances and produce accurate financial reports and forecasts.
• Collaborate with Finance, Commercial and Project Delivery teams to track performance and manage change impacts.
• Assist with project financing activities, including funding drawdowns, invoice processing and monthly reconciliations.
• Verify contractor costs, maintain financial controls and provide stakeholder reporting for major offshore wind initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project finance, cost control or financial analysis within infrastructure, engineering, construction or energy sectors.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and financial reporting.
• Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a related discipline; professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA are a plus.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.

• Proficiency with financial reporting systems.
