Cost Controller – Offshore Wind Projects

About the role

Join a pioneering joint venture focused on unlocking offshore wind potential worldwide. As a Cost Controller you will partner closely with the Commercial Director to provide finance oversight for large‑scale capex projects throughout development and construction phases.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an efficient project cost‑management system.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and reporting for multiple offshore wind projects.
• Perform variance analysis, trend monitoring and provide high‑quality cost insights to project leaders.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and presentations for senior stakeholders, including boards and banks.
• Track commitments, expenditures and staffing against project WBS and budgets.
• Ensure accurate accruals for Value of Work Done (VOWD) and support audit readiness.
• Maintain analytical master data in SAP and collaborate with Accounting for period‑end close.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting, controlling and planning processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of finance experience, including at least 3 years in a cost‑control or similar role.
• Strong understanding of large capex project lifecycles (financial, technical, contractual, risk).

Required skills

• SAP (project cost and master‑data modules).
