Cost Management Accountant – Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cost Management Accountant to join a well‑established manufacturing business in Fleetwood. You will own costing, inventory reporting, budgeting and financial analysis, helping to drive performance and identify continuous‑improvement opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain standard product and service costs, updating them for material, labour and overhead changes.
• Analyse material and labour usage and produce detailed variance reports.
• Recommend cost‑saving initiatives and process improvements.
• Own inventory costing and margin reporting.
• Prepare product costings, budgets, forecasts, accruals and pre‑payments.
• Manage the fixed‑asset register and support the annual audit.
• Provide financial support to the wider finance team as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Cost Management Accountant or similar role within manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of product costing, inventory and variance analysis.
• CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified, part‑qualified, or qualified by experience.
