Cost Manager – Civils

About the role

You will join a global civil engineering consultancy supporting the Sizewell C nuclear programme. Working within the Programme Management Office, you will provide accurate cost and performance information to help steer one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Produce cost performance reports, including EAC, ETC, ACWP and earned‑value analysis.
• Track actual costs against the approved cost control structure.
• Support cost re‑baselining, forecasting and budget updates.
• Analyse programme cost data to identify trends and inform decision‑making.
• Ensure accurate cost capture, accruals and contract cost performance in partnership with finance and commercial teams.
• Assist change control by analysing cost impacts and maintaining correct coding.
• Provide first‑line support for cost systems, tools and templates.

Required profile

• Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or equivalent, with relevant professional membership.
• Proven experience using NEC3 or NEC4 contracts in civil engineering, either consultancy or contractor.
• Strong knowledge of cost estimating, control, forecasting and analysis.
