Counter Sales & Warehouse Operative

About the role

Join the UK’s leading trade kitchen supplier as a Counter Sales & Warehouse Operative. You will be the first point of contact for trade customers on the depot counter, helping them find the right products and turning enquiries into sales, while also ensuring the warehouse is tidy, safe and ready for dispatch.

Key responsibilities

• Assist trade customers on the counter, provide product advice, prepare quotations and process orders.
• Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to overall depot performance.
• Unload, check and organise incoming stock deliveries in line with health‑and‑safety standards.
• Maintain accurate stock records, secure outgoing orders and support delivery preparation.
• Conduct daily checks on forklift and other equipment, ensuring safe operation.
• Support the warehouse team during busy periods to keep the depot running smoothly.

Required profile

• Experience in sales, retail or customer‑facing environments.
• Motivated to meet sales targets and deliver excellent customer service.
• Ability to work quickly in a fast‑paced, varied workload.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude.
• Attention to detail when handling stock and maintaining records.

Required skills

• Valid forklift licence (desirable).
