Counterbalance FLT Driver

About the role

Acorn by Synergie is seeking experienced Counterbalance FLT Drivers to join a busy logistics and warehouse operation in Preston. The role offers competitive hourly rates and long 12‑hour shifts across days, nights and weekends on a temporary ongoing basis.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance forklift truck safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload vehicles, transport stock, pallets and materials throughout the warehouse.
• Support packaging line servicing to maintain production flow.
• Carry out routine warehouse duties and maintain high standards of housekeeping.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and safe forklift operating practices.

Required profile

• Valid RTITB or ITSSAR Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence.
• Previous experience as an FLT Driver, Counterbalance Forklift Driver, Forklift Truck Driver, Warehouse Operative or Logistics Operative.
• Experience in a warehouse, logistics, distribution or manufacturing environment.
• Reliable, flexible and able to work 12‑hour shifts, including days, nights and weekends.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Required skills

• Counterbalance forklift operation.
• RTITB forklift licence.
• ITSSAR forklift licence.

• Hourly pay between £14.00 and £18.35.
