Counterbalance & Reach Forklift Driver – Temp Role

About the role

We are recruiting experienced Counterbalance and Reach forklift drivers for a leading FMCG client operating a large distribution centre in South East England. The role is full‑time, temporary and follows a two‑week rotating shift pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Operate counterbalance or reach forklifts to load and unload palletised products.
• Use a handheld tracking monitor to verify documentation and ensure products meet customer specifications.
• Follow health and safety procedures, reporting any safety or quality issues.
• Identify and escalate product quality concerns according to site procedures.
• Maintain individual and team targets to meet customer demand.
• Contribute to a high‑performance warehouse team.

Required profile

• Energetic, proactive and self‑motivated with a can‑do attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and follow shift patterns.

Required skills

• RTITB, ITSAAR or AITT accredited forklift licence (Reach or Counterbalance).
• Proven forklift operation experience in an FMCG or warehouse setting.
• Competence in using handheld tracking monitors.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures for warehouse operations.
