Court of Protection Solicitor – Bristol

About the role

This full‑time position is based in Bristol at an established Legal 500 law firm. You will support two partners on a variety of Court of Protection matters, primarily involving property and finance, with occasional health and welfare issues.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit applications to the Court of Protection
• Manage high‑value deputyships and private trust matters
• Liaise with case managers, doctors, therapists, surveyors, financial advisors and other legal experts
• Control budgets and monitor finances to protect clients’ best interests
• Assist with property purchases and adaptations for vulnerable clients
• Draft personal injury trusts and other legal documents

Required profile

• Experience in Court of Protection, private client work, or related areas such as clinical negligence or personal injury
• Previous time‑recording experience and familiarity with the LEAP case‑management system
• Quick learner with strong communication skills and a dynamic personality
