Cover Manager – School Administration

About the role
We are seeking a Cover Manager to join the administration team of a well‑run secondary school near Potters Bar. The role involves coordinating daily cover, managing the timetable and stepping in to teach when teachers are absent, ensuring the school runs smoothly each day.
Key responsibilities
- Arrange internal cover for staff absences and maintain the daily timetable.
- Provide cover for lessons, using pre‑planned cover work.
- Enter and update cover data accurately in school systems.
- Be on site from 7:30 am, with availability from 6:30 am to organise cover.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, teachers and support staff.
Required profile
- Organised professional with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with the whole school team.
- Willingness to start early in the morning to set up cover.
- Open to graduates, cover supervisors or supply teachers seeking a stable role.
