Cover Supervisor – Bebington (Supply Teaching)

About the role
We are looking for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to step into secondary school classrooms across Bebington, Wirral. You will deliver pre‑planned lessons and maintain a safe, focused learning environment while the regular teacher is absent. The role offers flexible start dates, including immediate or September placements.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise secondary classes (ages 11‑16) in the teacher’s absence.
- Deliver pre‑set work and lesson plans left by the subject teacher.
- Maintain classroom discipline using the school’s behaviour policy.
- Assist pupils with queries and keep them on‑task.
- Collect completed work, report achievements or issues, and return materials to the department.
Required profile
- Experience working with groups of children (e.g., teaching assistant, support worker, coach, tutor).
- Willingness to hold an enhanced DBS check on the Update Service.
- Strong presence and confidence to manage groups of students.
- Clear, assertive and professional communication skills.
