About the role
Supply Staff Limited is looking for a reliable Cover Supervisor to provide day‑to‑day and long‑term classroom cover across schools in Croydon. You will step in when the regular teacher is absent, ensuring lessons continue smoothly and students stay engaged.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Deliver and oversee pre‑prepared lesson activities.
- Maintain positive behaviour and classroom standards.
- Support students with their learning where appropriate.
- Liaise with teaching staff and wider school teams.
Required profile
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Confident and professional approach to supervising classes.
- Ability to follow lesson plans and school procedures.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
- Full compliance with standard UK school safeguarding regulations.
