Cover Supervisor – Flexible Part‑time (£100‑£120 per day)

About the role

The school in Shepperton is seeking a flexible part‑time Cover Supervisor to deliver lessons and provide cover for up to 30 secondary students on a daily supply basis. You will work independently with limited preparation time, ensuring a high standard of teaching and a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide cover for registration and deliver lessons when the regular cover is unavailable.
• Maintain a positive classroom climate using the school’s behaviour policies and gold classroom standards.
• Manage student behaviour effectively and fairly.
• Support students’ self‑esteem through praise and encouragement.
• Assist with the development and implementation of SEN support plans.

Required profile

• Hold a degree or be an aspiring teacher.
• Interest in and knowledge of autism.
• Experience managing distressing behaviours.
• Ability to solve problems quickly and remain calm.
• Basic IT literacy and excellent written and verbal communication in English.
