Cover Supervisor – Flexible School Cover (Day Rate £100-£130)

About the role

Randstad Education is recruiting Ad Hoc Cover Supervisors to provide day‑to‑day classroom cover for secondary schools in the Falconwood, Welling, Bexley and Greenwich area. You will step into schools on short notice, manage behaviour, deliver pre‑prepared lessons and keep pupils engaged while the regular teacher is absent.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain morning availability from 7:00 AM to accept same‑day cover bookings.
• Supervise pre‑set lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring safety and focus.
• Assist students with set work, enforce behaviour policies and collect work for the returning teacher.
• Travel between local secondary schools and academies according to daily demand.

Required profile

• Proven experience working with children or young people in education, youth work, tutoring or sports coaching.
• Reliable morning availability and ability to travel promptly to schools.
• Strong classroom presence, clear communication and confidence managing groups of up to 30 pupils.
