Cover Supervisor – Flexible Secondary School Opportunities

About the role

We are seeking experienced Cover Supervisors to deliver pre‑planned lessons across a range of secondary schools in High Wycombe. The role offers flexible patterns, from one‑day supply to long‑term placements, and the chance to move into permanent positions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lesson instructions provided by teaching staff.
• Manage behaviour consistently and professionally.
• Encourage pupil participation and maintain a productive learning environment.
• Respond calmly to classroom situations.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff after each lesson.
• Support schools during both planned and emergency staff absences.

Required profile

• Previous experience working within secondary school education.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Confidence leading groups of pupils independently.
• Professionalism, flexibility and reliability.
• Ability to build positive relationships quickly in new schools.
