Cover Supervisor (No Qualification Required) – Carlisle

About the role

Veritas Education is recruiting unqualified Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Carlisle and the surrounding area. This role offers graduates, sports coaches, youth workers and anyone with experience supporting young people the chance to gain classroom experience and explore a future career in education.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑set lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Support pupils in completing work and staying engaged.
• Work across a variety of subjects and year groups.
• Gain practical experience within secondary schools.

Required profile

• Confident, reliable and able to manage classroom dynamics.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with young people is desirable but not mandatory.
• Graduates and aspiring teachers are encouraged to apply.
