Cover Supervisor (Part‑time, Temporary)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Cover Supervisor to join a mixed secondary school and sixth form in South London on a part‑time, temporary basis. The role offers an immediate start with flexible working patterns, supporting pupils across a range of subjects.

Key responsibilities

• Cover classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Manage pupil behaviour effectively and promote a positive learning environment.
• Engage actively with pupils and ensure adherence to the school’s behaviour policy.
• Utilise ICT tools for lesson delivery and carry out basic administrative tasks.
• Adapt to varying classroom situations with a positive attitude.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or experienced Cover Supervisor.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS check (clear and up to date).
• UK Bachelor’s degree or overseas equivalent.
• Experience working with children/teenagers in a UK school setting.

Required skills

• Good understanding of ICT.
• Ability to perform basic administrative tasks.
