Cover Supervisor – Part‑time, Temporary (London)

About the role

This is an immediate‑start, part‑time temporary position as a Cover Supervisor in a mixed secondary school and sixth form in South London. The role is suitable for recent graduates or experienced cover supervisors looking for flexible work patterns.

Key responsibilities

• Cover a variety of classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Manage pupil behaviour effectively and promote a positive learning environment.
• Engage actively with pupils while ensuring the school’s behaviour policy is followed.
• Carry out basic ICT tasks and administrative duties as required.
• Adapt quickly to different classroom situations and maintain a positive attitude.

Required profile

• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance.
• UK Bachelor’s degree or overseas equivalent.
• Experience working with children/teenagers or previous cover supervising in UK schools.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ICT (use of school ICT suite and basic computer applications).
