About the role
Academics is partnering with secondary schools in Leighton Buzzard and Milton Keynes to provide cover supervision on a day‑rate basis. You will step into classrooms when the regular teacher is absent, ensuring lessons run smoothly without the need to plan or mark work.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise pre‑planned lessons in the teacher’s absence.
- Maintain classroom order and enforce school behaviour policies.
- Support pupils to stay on task and complete assigned work.
- Build quick rapport with students across a range of subjects.
Required profile
- Valid DBS check (or on the update service).
- Degree holder or previous experience as a cover supervisor/teacher.
- Strong, fair approach to behaviour management.
Required skills
- No specific technical skills required.
What we offer
- £120 per day, paid weekly.
- Flexible start – immediate or from September 2026.
- Working hours 08:30‑15:30, onsite in schools.
