Cover Supervisor – Secondary School (Chester)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor to join a large secondary school on the outskirts of Chester. This full‑time position starts in September and runs for the academic year, providing daily coverage for absent teachers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lessons across a varied timetable when teachers are absent.
• Collaborate closely with the learning support and cover teams to ensure continuity of learning.
• Maintain accurate records of covered sessions and report any issues.
• Adhere to the school’s timetable of 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, five days a week.

Required profile

• Previous classroom experience, preferably in a secondary school setting.
• Strong commitment to a full‑time, five‑day work week.
• Proof of right to work in the UK (passport or birth certificate).
• CV covering at least ten years of education or employment history.
• Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one (cost reimbursed).
