Cover Supervisor – Secondary School (Epsom)

About the role

This is a full‑time Cover Supervisor position in a respected secondary school in Epsom. You will step in during teacher absences, using pre‑prepared lesson materials to keep students engaged and on track.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise classes across a range of subjects using existing lesson plans.
• Maintain a calm, productive, and positive classroom environment.
• Support students in completing work and achieving lesson objectives.
• Manage behaviour consistently and effectively.
• Communicate with teaching staff about lesson outcomes and student progress.
• Become an active member of the school community.

Required profile

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence working with secondary‑aged students.
• Ability to stay calm, professional, and adaptable.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Genuine passion for education and supporting young people.
• Previous experience with children or young people is beneficial but not essential.
